Content New Starter Kit for Atmel's AVR MCU
Atmel has announced a new AVR development system, with Atmel P/N#ATSTK500. It provides an easy way to get started with the AVR microcontrollers and offers parallel and serial programming support. In addition to that it can be used as an ISP programmer for In Application Programming. To make hardware debugging easy, all AVR ports can be easily accessed via pin header. By using the AVR Studio 3.2 (or higher) integrated debugging environment, the STK500 enables the user to Assemable, Simulate, Emulate(with external In Circuit Emulator) and now even to program software into any AVR device. AVR Studio is included with the STK500 kit or can be downloaded from the Atmel webpage www.atmel.com. The following parts are supported by STK500 :
